My name is Mira Aasma. I’m an audio creator and facilitator with roots in choral traditions and percussion — half Estonian, half Smålänning — currently based between Berlin and Scandinavia.
With a background in performing arts, writing, and film, I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to sound and audiovisual composition. For over a decade, I have composed and performed music across a broad spectrum of genres and contexts.
My work includes composing and producing for games, film, stage, orchestras, and choirs. Under the artist name Aasma, I release experimental, nature-inspired pop music. I also create dance music as part of the Italo duo Italo Bitches, collaborate in hip-hop with drag artist Jafar the Superstar, and work alongside Sámi artists such as Elin Kåven and Ailu Valle, in addition to various pop artists across Europe.
I perform and DJ throughout the Nordics, Europe, North America, Japan, the UK, and the GSA region.
From initial concept development to final production, I offer comprehensive support throughout the entire sonic creation process.
